Anna Bailey | West Sussex Celebrant

A little bit about me....

I'm a Humanist celebrant who loves helping people celebrate life and love in a way that feels truly personal. Whether you’re planning a wedding, a naming ceremony or marking a milestone, I’ll work with you to create something meaningful, relaxed and full of joy.

I've spent 20 years as a journalist — asking questions, telling stories, and helping people find the words for big emotions. Now, I bring all of that experience to each script and ceremony I write. I love getting to know couples and families, and I’m often told how easy I am to talk to and how fun the process feels.

Since training with Humanists UK, I’ve led more than 30 ceremonies under ancient trees, in town halls, gardens, pubs, and everywhere in between — for small groups and crowds of 200+. I can suggest beautiful readings, explain symbolic touches like handfasting, and help you create something that’s completely ‘you’.

I spent 16 years in Walthamstow, East London before moving to West Sussex in 2024. I now live by the sea in Worthing with my husband and daughter, and love walking, good coffee, and a fabulous love story.

If you’re looking for a celebrant who’s calm, creative, and completely committed to making your day feel unforgettable – I’d love to chat.
